Rick Pitino is among those who are very happy with the direction of the New York Knicks.
Pitino went all out on Twitter on Saturday to praise the Knicks’ recent coaching moves. Not only did he praise the hiring of Tom Thibodeau, but he was also pleased with the addition of Kenny Payne as an assistant.
Pitino, now Iona’s head coach, is a New Yorker and coached the Knicks for two seasons. He wants to see them do well. Had they followed his advice three years ago, they probably would have been in much better shape, but better late than never.
