Pacome Dadiet

Pacome Dadiet is showing encouraging signs before Knicks training camp, giving New York another intriguing young option ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Pacome Dadiet may be one of the most intriguing players to watch when the New York Knicks open training camp.

The young forward still faces a difficult path to consistent minutes on a championship roster, but his recent performances suggest he is not ready to disappear from the conversation.

Dadiet recently scored 13 points with six rebounds and two assists for Ivory Coast in a World Cup qualifier against Egypt, while knocking down three shots from beyond the arc.

That performance came after an encouraging Summer League stretch in which he also flashed his scoring potential.

Dadiet Needs to Force His Way Into the Rotation

The biggest obstacle for Dadiet remains New York’s depth.

OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart already occupy major roles on the wing, leaving limited opportunities for a developing forward.

That means Dadiet must make himself difficult to ignore.

Improved three-point shooting could become especially important. If he can consistently stretch the floor while using his size defensively, Mike Brown may have another useful option when managing the rotation during a long regular season.

The Knicks do not need Dadiet to become a star immediately.

They need him to prove that he can provide reliable minutes when called upon.

Knicks Could Have Another Young Weapon

Dadiet’s recent international performances are encouraging because they give him meaningful reps outside the NBA.

At just 21 years old, there is still plenty of room for development.

New York’s championship ambitions may make patience difficult, but a strong training camp could change the equation quickly.

Dadiet already showed flashes in Las Vegas, including a 20-point Summer League performance against Brooklyn and another 19-point outing later in the tournament.

The next step is consistency.

If Dadiet carries that confidence into preseason, he could become one of the Knicks’ most surprising rotation candidates heading into 2026-27.
