Xavier McDaniel revealed that Worthy could be traded by the Knicks
James Worthy was almost traded with the New York Knicks during the 1991-92 season, but the Lakers apparently withdrew from the deal. The traffic mentioned was revealed by Xavier McDaniel during an interview on Saturday with Knicks Fan TV.
Worthy at the time he was 30, playing in what turned out to be his last season. “There was almost an agreement for James Worthy with the Knicks … I think the Lakers have withdrawn the agreement. A reporter told me there was an agreement for James Worthy”. said McDaniel.
