No doubt, the New York Knicks need a new beginning. The Knicks are not playing like a real team and most likely a real revolution will be needed. The first step concerns the next head coach. But the future head coach of the Knicks must be a person capable of developing the potential already present in the team. That’s why Kenny Atkinson can be the right coach for the Knicks.
Just think about Kevin Knox, put out by David Fizdale. Maybe Atkinson could have worked better with him and raised him in the right way. Frank Ntilikina would also most likely thrive in such a system. With better development, shooting guard RJ Barrett would have been in the running for the rookie of the year.
In short, bringing Atkinson to the Knicks could give a new start in New York.
